Job description

• Ensure to assist the Foreman Drills in the execution of scheduled and non-scheduled mechanical/hydraulic repairs, inspections and installation work as required. • Ensure to conduct the work required on all mechanical / hydraulic jobs • Coordinate maintenance as well as statutory inspections and audits by internal and external service providers. • Supervise and inspect subordinates daily activities, offer coaching and on the job training to ensure maintenance according to organisational standards • Implement team operational plans to ensure defined objectives are met through supporting and being supported by, other teams within and linked to department. • Obtain information, check for accuracy and capture data. File documents per procedure • Propose ideas or practical improvements relevant to tasks. Participate in improvement initiatives and lead group discussions to solve problems. • Participate in change initiatives and provide feedback on resistance. • Participate in planning process for section. Execute plans within standard. • Comply with disciplinary and behavioural rules and procedures. • Manage team performance. Resolve conflict. • Know and exercise the basic principles of safety and mining. Comply with safety, health and environmental standards. • Identify and report unsafe and hazardous situations in work area. Participate in safety meetings. Minimum requirements

• Certificate: Grade 12 • Certificate: Trade Test Artisan – Mechanic / Auto Electrician • Certificate: N3 Engineering Studies • Valid Code B/EB Driver’s License • Dover B Symbol• 3 Years’ Relevant post qualification experience in a mining environment • 1- 2 Years Experienced with working on underground Hydraulic Drill Rigs and Roofbolters • 1 Years Supervisory Experience
