Job Advert Summary To provide a professional business analyst role, conduct market intelligence and industry trends, analyze insights and determine the impact on the Rand Water Business. Support the business with the compilation of business plans for new investments, programs, and projects as well as compelling business cases.

Minimum Requirements •Matric Certificate. •A Bachelor’s Degree (NQFL7) in Economics, Economic and Risk, and Financial Management and related field.

Experience required :

Minimum of 1-5 years working experience as a Business Analyst Shareholder Compact compilation and Drafting Tariff Modelling Corporate Business Plan Drafting Environmental Scanning Shareholder Value Mapping Business Modelling Business Process Mapping

Primary Duties •Contribute to designing the Water Pricing Models as input to Tariff Structure •Conduct intelligence at the Sector level •Shareholder Compact compilation and Drafting •Conduct Trend Analysis on the Water Sector, both at a macro and micro level •Conduct Feasibility Studies for new investments •Contribute to the compilation of Business Cases •Contribute to the compilation of Business Plans •Contribute to the design of the Water Pricing Model as inputs to the tariff structure. •Business Plans and design Water Pricing Model as inputs to tariff structure. •Determine the shareholder value map with respect to business cost drivers •Support Cost Containment initiatives •Analysis of the business results, annual reports, and determine opportunity areas for business improvement •Prepare Governance Reports (Board Packs, EXCO Reports, and Business Reports)

Knowledge •Knowledge of relevant statutory requirements impacting on the water industry. •Data Analysis •Business Process development •Research Methodologies •Interviewing Techniques •Financial Analysis and Interpretation •Advance knowledge of relevant Microsoft applications (Word, Power Point, Excel)

Skills •Excellent research and data collection methodology skills. •Excel computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet. •Strong organisational skills. •Business Case •Report Writing •Negotiation Skills •Quality Assurance •Ability to work independently to efficiently meet deadlines.
