Scale: R246 672,00 – R342 588,00 per annum

Estimated remuneration package: R345 901,00 – R467 985,00 per annum

Job purpose: To assist the artisan or senior operator with minor mechanical, electrical and general maintenance and repairs

Requirements

Appointment requirements: Grade 10 Relevant experience in general maintenance Physical fitness and good health Must undergo a criminal record check and such a person shall allow their fingerprints to be taken by the Tshwane Metro Police Department at own cost

Personal attributes and/or competencies: Being patient; flexibility; willingness to accept responsibility; ability to pay attention to detail; ability to work overtime as and when required; experience as a machine operator; knowledge of production procedures; analytical thinking skills; ability to work as part of a team; physical strength and stamina; ability to handle heavy equipment

Key Responsibilities

Primary functions: Inspect, repair and execute minor maintenance (change door locks and light bulbs, replace tap rubbers, etc) on facility structures and equipment as directed by immediate supervisor and/or as assigned through a scheduled preventative maintenance work order Ensure stock control (materials in vehicle and hand tools)
