Position: External Sales Representative Location: Maitland, Cape Town Salary: Around R25,000+ depending on experience Industry: Outdoor Power Equipment

Job Summary

An established outdoor power equipment business based in Maitland is looking for an experienced and motivated External Sales Representative to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have strong external sales experience and solid knowledge of STIHL equipment. Experience within the outdoor power equipment, agricultural, hardware or related industries will be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and sell STIHL equipment and related products.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities.
• Conduct regular customer visits and account management.
• Work with co-op accounts and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Provide customers with knowledgeable advice regarding equipment, applications and product selection.
• Prepare quotations, follow up on opportunities and close sales.
• Achieve agreed sales targets and contribute to business growth.
• Stay up to date with product knowledge, market developments and competitor activity.
• Provide a professional and customer-focused service.

Requirements

• Previous external sales experience.
• Previous experience with STIHL equipment is essential.
• Outdoor power equipment experience is highly advantageous.
• Agricultural, hardware or related industry experience will be considered.
• Strong product knowledge and understanding of equipment applications.
• Experience dealing with customers and developing long-term relationships.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, target-driven and able to work independently.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Willingness to travel to customers.
• Professional presentation and strong customer-service orientation.
